LOCALS OF ANJAW, ARUNACHAL PRADESH RUN MINI MARATHON ORGANISED BY INDIAN ARMY AS PART OF INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

As part of Army’s continued endeavour towards fit India movement and to celebrate 75 Independence Day with the youth, mini marathons in three categories were organised by the Indian Army. 

The Mini Marathon was organized by Dao Division, at Hayuliang Circle of Anjaw District in Arunachal Pradesh on 14 Aug 21.

The Mini Marathon was organised with involvement of District Administration, Youth Clubs & Cultural and Literary Society of Mishmi (CALSOM). The event educated the localities hailing from far flung areas of Arunachal Pradesh, on benefits of  healthy lifestyle. Free natural nutritional supplements & sports injury management advice were also provided during the camp. 

The response to the event was overwhelming and youth from the nearby villages of Hayuliang, Goliliang, Metengliang and Chaglohagam participating. Over 200 individuals participated in the event in three categories of 15km, 10km and 5km. 

On conclusion of the event, Smt Ayushi Sudan, IAS, DC Anjaw and local village heads expressed their deep appreciation to the Indian Army for organizing the Mini Marathon.
