ARMY PAYS RICH TRIBUTE TO NAIK BIDHAN GHISING AT DARJEELING.

The last rites of Naik Bidhan Ghising, who made supreme sacrifice while serving in J&K was conducted today in a solemn ceremony at his native place at  Pussimbing near Darjeeling with full military honours.

The mortal remains of Naik Bidhan Ghising were brought from Srinagar to Bagdogra on 22 September 2021 and were further taken to his native village on the same day. Casket containing mortal remains of the soldier was wrapped in tricolor and taken to the cremation ground.  A large number of people had gathered and joined the soldier’s family on Naik Bidhan Ghising’s final journey amid chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

The Commander of Darjeeling Military along with a number of senior army officers, District Magistrate & Superintendent of Police at Darjeeling, public representatives attended the ceremony and paid their tribute to the braveheart and to his family.
