BLACK CAT DIVISION COMMEMORATED 55TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHO LA SKIRMISH AT CHO LA WAR MEMORIAL.
The Black Cat Division organised a wreath laying ceremony at the Cho La War Memorial on 01 Oct 2022 to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of the Cho La Skirmish. To honour the brave hearts of Cho La Skirmish, wreaths were laid by the Natu La Garrison Commander on behalf of Chief of the Army Staff, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, GOC Trishakti Corps & GOC Black Cat Division.
The Cho La Skirmish of 01 Oct 1967 is one of finest examples of the valour of Indian Army wherein our troops stood firm and resolute against the unprovoked belligerence by the adversary. The courage and the fortitude displayed by the Indian Soldiers showed to the nation and the world that Indian Army would always stand firm towards it solemn duty of protecting the ‘Mother Land’. The Tri colour at Cho La memorial continues to flutter with pride due to the determination and sacrifice of our soldiers, to whom our nation shall always remain grateful.
