Indian Naval Ship Open for Visitors at Gopalpur.

As part of Navy Day Celebrations 2022, Indian Naval Ship Kirch will be open for  visitors on 18 Nov 22 (0900h to 1600h) and 19 Nov 22 (0900h to 1200h) at Gopalpur Port. The visit will  provide an opportunity to the  local populace for a guided tour of the Warship. During the event, the public will be briefed on various parts of the ship and visiting students will be explained on various opportunities to join the Armed Forces. All visitors are requested to carry a valid photo identity card and not to carry large bags for security reasons. 

Indian Naval Ship Kirch, the second ship of the Kora Class Missile Corvettes, was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 22 January 2001.  The ship is equipped with an impressive array of weapons and sensors that include a medium range gun, 30 mm close range guns, chaff launchers and long-range surface to surface missiles.
