TRISHAKTI CORPS organised an Ex-Servicemen Rally at Gangtok.
To fulfill Indian Army’s commitment towards its Veterans, Veer Naris and their families, Black Cat Division, TRISHAKTI CORPS organised an Ex-Servicemen Rally at Gangtok on 06 Nov 2022. The Rally was attended by more than 400 ex-servicemen and their dependents from all the districts of Sikkim State.
Maj Gen Gambhir Singh, AVSM, GOC Black Cat Division and other dignitaries were present on the occasion to interact with the Ex-Servicemen and their dependents. The Rally was aimed to reach out to maximum veterans, their dependents and address their problems related to welfare schemes. Stalls were established to cater for various aspects viz Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Veteran Seva Kendra, Unit Run Canteen, Sainik Boards, Helpline, Record Offices, Army Welfare Placement Organisation etc. A fully equipped Medical Camp, staffed with various specialists provided health checkup and medicines to those requiring care.
While addressing the Rally, the GOC reiterated the Indian Army’s commitment towards veterans and assured the gathering that the Government and the Army would take every step to ensure their well-being. Post a colourful cultural programmed by NCC cadets and Indian Army personnel, the Rally was concluded with felicitation of Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen.
The rally provided a joint forum for the veterans and their families to interact with both Military and Civil Agencies. The event was an endeavour to honour the veterans and families for their unflinching loyalty and selfless service to the Nation.
