Students from Jaldhaka Higher Secondary School in North Bengal embarked on a ten-day National Integration Tour from 22 July 24, aiming to foster deeper connections between the border areas and the rest of the country and embodying the spirit of national integration.
During the tour, the students were honoured to interact with the Honourable President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan. This experience left an indelible mark on their young minds.
They visited India Gate, a poignant reminder of the nation's history and sacrifices, and paid homage to the brave soldiers at the War Memorial. Exploring Connaught Place, one of Delhi's most vibrant and historic areas, and Ambience Mall in Gurugram added to their urban experience. They also visited Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where they appreciated India's rich architectural heritage. The tour continued to Agra, where the students marvelled at the grandeur of the Taj Mahal, deepening their understanding of India's cultural and historical legacy. An inspiring interaction with the soldiers gave them a glimpse into the lives of the nation's elite paratroopers.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime memorable and inspirational experience for Pihu, Arun, Sunita, Arnish, Anuradha, Mrinal, Renuka, Akshit, Simran, Vedant, Sumiran, Anuj, Sayoni, Bidhan, Nirjala, Rajiv, Anamika, and Samarpan.
