VISIT OF AIR OFFICER COMMANDING-IN-CHIEF EASTERN AIR COMMAND TO AIR FORCE STATION JORHAT.
Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command visited Air Force Station Jorhat, a premier airbase in Assam on 29 October 24 and celebrated Diwali with Air Warriors on 30 October 24. He was received by Air Commodore R Arvind, Air Officer Commanding, AF Station Jorhat and Air Commodore Sunil Agrawal Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Hospital Jorhat.
The AOC-in-C took the opportunity to be briefed upon the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the base, along with other related ongoing infrastructure development works at the Station. He participated in Diwali festivities with the Air Warriors of the Station. Air Warriors posted to Advance Landing Grounds were also present in the celebrations. During the interaction with the deployed personnel, he expressed his satisfaction at their state of preparedness, high morale and dedication. He exhorted them to be ready to meet all challenges. The Air Marshal also conveyed his warm greetings and gratitude to families of the Air Warriors and acknowledged their strength and support. The celebrations provided an opportunity to Air Warriors serving in remote locations, to interact with their commander and increasing camaraderie, whilst also lifting the spirits of all the personnel.
