WINTER ADVENTURE CAMP AT AF STATION BAGDOGRA.

A thrilling Winter Adventure Camp was organised by Air Force Station Bagdogra under the aegis of Air Force Family Welfare Association (Regional), Eastern Air Command. The camp commenced on  05 January 2025 with a colourful opening ceremony.  60 enthusiastic children from various schools of Eastern Air Command attended the camp. Air Commodore Manish Sharma Air Officer Commanding AF Station Bagdogra & the President AFFWA (Local) flagged off the Tug of War match amongst four teams named as Akash, Sutlej, Cheetah and Tejas, during the opening ceremony. Children participated in all the adventure activities with great enthusiasm which were performed under the guidance of professional instructors.

The aim of the camp was to promote the spirit of adventure, team building and motivate the youth to join Armed Forces. The children participated in various adventure activities like Parasailing, Para Hang Gliding, Rappelling, Zorbing, Archery, Zip Lining, Rope Cycling, Night Route March etc.

The event culminated on 09 January 2025 with a camp fire and cultural evening. Air Marshal Surat Singh Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Eastern Air Command graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with Mrs Nisha Singh; President AFFWA (Regional) and presented mementos and certificates to the children.
