The Eastern Command Investiture Ceremony 2025 was held at Ranchi Military Station to recognize the bravery and distinguished service of Indian Army personnel

The Eastern Command Investiture Ceremony 2025 was organized at Ranchi Military Station, Dipatoli Cantonment, Jharkhand on 12 Feb 2025. On the eve of the ceremony, a cultural concert                "Shaurya Sandhya", comprising of Army Band Symphony Fusion performance, Martial Arts Displays of Kalaripayattu and  Gatka alongwith a Fly Past by Helicopters, showcasing the rich heritage and valour of the Indian Army was held at Jharkhand War Memorial, Ranchi. 

Lt Gen Ram Chander Tiwari, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command felicitated the 42 Awardees with Gallantry and Distinguished Service Awards. The awards included 02 Yudh Seva Medals, 21 Sena Medals (Gallantry), 05 Sena Medals (Distinguished),   02 Bar To Sena Medals (Distinguished), 01 Bar To Vishisht Seva Medal and 11 Vishisht Seva Medals. In addition, 45 Units, including an Indian Air Force Helicopter Unit, were awarded GOC-in-C, Eastern Command Unit Citation, in recognition of their exceptional professionalism and outstanding achievements.

Honourable Governor of Jharkhand Shri Santosh Gangwar  interacted with the awardees and lauded them for their exemplary efforts and performance.

A large number of military personnel, civilian dignitaries, NCC Cadets as well as school and college students alongwith the proud families of the award winners attended the ceremony. 

On this momentous occasion, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command congratulated the awardees and exhorted all ranks to give their best in all spheres and maintain the  traditions and values of the Indian Army. He said that the Nation and the Indian Army will always honour and care for the brave soldiers and this was aptly showcased through the events conducted as a part of this ceremony.
