The much-awaited NCC C Certificate Examination for Army, Navy and Air Wing cadets was successfully held sunday.
The much-awaited NCC C Certificate Examination for Army, Navy and Air Wing cadets was successfully held sunday at multiple locations across West Bengal and Sikkim. A total of 4779 cadets participated in the examination, with 4616 cadets from the Army Wing, 65 cadets from Navy Wing and 98 cadets from the Air Wing showcasing their skills and knowledge gained during years of training. The examination was conducted under the supervision of WB & S Directorate NCC, which ensured smooth and efficient management of the event with seamless integration between multiple examination centres.
To be eligible for the prestigious C Certificate examination, an NCC cadet must undergo a rigorous three-year training program. This training involves various components including physical fitness, leadership skills, and participation in numerous camps that help cadets develop essential qualities like discipline, responsibility, and patriotism. The C Certificate is considered one of the highest achievements in the NCC, serving as recognition of the cadet's proficiency and readiness for higher responsibilities in national service.
The examination covered various aspects of military knowledge, drill skills, and overall NCC training. It is a crucial step for cadets as it opens up opportunities for further roles in the armed forces and other leadership positions. The award of C certificate has multiple benefits to cadets, including but not limited to preference in selection/ recruitment in military, paramilitary, police and other services like fire services, industrial security forces and public sector enterprises. All this is in addition to the value addition the cadets gain in terms of discipline, fitness and overall personality.
